Two Rings
a poem for a wedding
There on your hands
is the hope you both found
together
thin cold ribbon
gold wrapping round
together
connecting your words
and your hearts
together
you to you are now bound
by small circles of gold
as your love is crowned
here before your friends
sound of heart
sound of mind
sound of bells
ringing
ringing
ringing proud
wedded together
letting the world know
how in love you will grow
through toil and through truth
in tenderness
in trust
in devotion
united
these rings
your vows
this life you share
from this moment
forward
united together
Friends asked if I would write something for their wedding celebration. They were officially married in a private civil ceremony. Family and friends asked for a party.

Ooh that is such a lovely thing to ask and I love the poem, Istvan 💕 It is heartwarming people are settling for all of this... although I won't ever marry again 😉🦋
